Car-Part Messaging™ is one of Car-Part.com's newest and most innovative products, allowing users to instantly communicate with each other about parts right from their PCs. It is simple to install and provided as part of the Car-Part Gold Package.
Car-Part Messaging can work alone or with Trading Partners&trade and the Car-Part Bulletin Board. On its own, Car-Part Messaging offers multiple ways to request parts and sell to other recyclers, right from your own computer. Whether using one of our public chat rooms, or sending private messages, Car-Part Messaging is both cost-effective and time-saving.
With a simple click of your mouse, you can request parts from multiple recyclers at once in chat rooms categorized by region or association. You can type these requests manually, or you can request a party with your Trading Partners software. When you post to a chat room, many recyclers can see these requests at once and reply to you with a quote. You can chat privately with one other user, so no one else can view your conversation. You can use private chats to finalize details, ask questions, or anything else you would talk about on a telephone call.
Private chats are also available through this software, allowing communication between single users. This gives you the same privacy as a phone call, but with the simplicity offered by Car-Part Messaging.
As part of the Car-Part.com Trading Partners software, the messaging service is as easy as clicking on a single link. Once your Trading Partners search results page is displayed, any dealer using the Car-Part.com messaging software will have a "Live Chat" light bulb next to the facility name to indicate that they use the messaging software.

When you perform a Trading Partners search, you can access Car-Part Messaging with just one click. When your Trading Partners search results are displayed, any dealer with Car-Part Messaging will have a "Live Chat" light bulb icon under their name, indication that they are using the messaging software. To contact that recycler about a part they have, just click on the link and a private chat will open.
When your Trading Partners post a part request to the Car-Part.com Bulletin Board, you can view potential sales as you see what others are looking to buy. When a request for a part is displayed with a "Live Chat" light bulb icon, this indicates that this user is a Car-Part.com Messenger client, allowing you to chat with this buyer through your computer. Just click on the link and a private chat will open.
