How much should you pay yourself?

We've all seen the criticisms of what appear to be highly inflated executive salaries at a number of companies which are now in financial distress. While none of us have the luxury of multi-million dollar salaries, there are still practical considerations that might affect your pay, especially if your company is a "C" corporation.

Checkmate Tip: Part Return Reason Codes

By default, Checkmate® provides three choices for explaining the reason for a part return. Those are:

1. Part rejected
2. Wrong part
3. Quality price adjustment

You can add to or change the reason codes that show when you return a part or remove a part from a work order by going to 6,10,7 in Checkmate (Classic S3,8). You can then print the Credit Category Report by going to 5,13 in Checkmate (V13 in classic). The report will help you identify customers, parts, or employees that may be generating unacceptably high numbers of credits.
